Max Axle Zercher

  • 30sec to produce a successful lift. You may push, pull, kick, scream, and dance all you want in that 30sec to produce a good lift. If that 30sec expires and you have not produced a good lift, you are out.
  • Must wait for down command. To receive a down command, knees must be locked, feet must be motionless, hips extended, shoulders back, and back straight with the bar in the crook of the elbows.
  • Dropping the bar WILL result in a “no lift”. Throwing a hissy fit because of a no-lift call will result in the judge still not caring. Follow the bar down to the best of your ability.
  • We will take openers during warmups. 3 attempts will be allowed to reach a top weight, but if you miss, you’re out.
  • Sleeves are legal. One belt is allowed.
  • Suits, hooks, and oils are not legal. Whatever other shenanigans you think of to make this easier probably aren’t legal either.

Growing Log Lift

  • 75-sec to get as many reps as possible. Most reps wins.
  • Athlete must lift the implement from the ground to overhead each time. Weight will be immediately added to the implement once it hits the ground, and then the lifter will receive a “LIFT” command to pursue the next rep.
  • Must wait for down signal upon lockout of each rep. In order to receive down signal, feet must motionless, not staggered, and within shoulder width; elbows, knees, and hips extended; posture upright; object motionless overhead
  • Yes this means there will not be clamps holding the small plates on. Yes this means if your technique goes down the toilet that you may dump the weights off one side. THIS IS PART OF THE CHALLENGE. In the event you get so lopsided that you dump the weights, you will have to load them back before trying again – the staff will not be responsible for doing so.
  • Sleeves (with no buckling or fastening mechanisms), one belt, and wrist wraps allowed.

Giant Chain Drag

  • Athletes must drag a giant chain down a 50ft course. Fastest time wins.
  • Anyone that does not finish will be credited with distance.
  • Must grab the chain by the end link or links. 170 and 350 have a single link to grab, 520 and 700 have two links to grab (like one for each hand)
  • Sleeves, wrist wraps, gloves, and one belt allowed. No sticky stuff of any sort. If anyone gets sticky crap on my chains, I’ll be dragging you down the course for time.

Carry & Load

  • 60sec to carry and load all implements (***turn at the halfway point***). Fastest time wins. Split times taken; if athlete does not finish, credit given for time on items that were completed
  • Items consist of: Mouser Block (Mini Block for women), and a big ol’ tire.

???Mystery Event???

  • It’s a mystery, like “Who Shot Mr. Burns?”.

General Rules/Usual Mouser Stuff

  • In the event of a tie in the final standings, athletes will compete in a tie breaker event. No one likes “count back”, so we ain’t gonna do it yall.
  • Sportsmanship is expected and required. This is the greatest sport in the world, let’s keep it that way.
  • There will be a pre-event prayer. No one is expected to participate, so please do not feel obligated. All we ask is to be respectful of those that do or do not wish to participate.
  • This is a drug free contest. If you are juiced feel free to come cheer on your buddies but please do not bother to sign up.
  • If you have a question, please ask! I would rather take a minute to clarify something than to see someone have a poor showing due to a misunderstanding.
